Altiron suddenly fades into sight beside you.

Altiron whistles tunelessly to himself.

Altiron says, "If we don't have to many interruptions we could get to lots of questions I bet."
Altiron says, "I haven't seen to much feedback from the players on Forums, and based on the turnout here this evening it may not be a high priority for most."
Altiron says, "Nonetheless, I did want to try and at least hold one between the last Simucon and the next."
Altiron says, "Hopefully everyone has been alerted."
A shaft of scintillating light suddenly pierces the ceiling and strikes the ground next to you. The beam of light then explodes in a shower of sparks and LLearyn is standing in its place.
Mahegh smiles at Thunderbolt.
Altiron says, "Hi there."
Altiron says, "Ok, lets get started then."
Altiron exclaims, "Surprisingly, Mahegh is at a loss of words!"
Uska nods to Altiron.

Altiron says, "So let me go over a few things before we dive into a good Q&A session."
Mahegh says, "That's only cause there is room for one of us.. and I defer to you tonight."

Altiron says, "As everyone should know by now, we have started releasing guild halls for the remaining professions."
Altiron says, "Some of the Wizard NPCs have been seen around the lands, and I would encourage anyone who is interested in participating to seek them out."
Altiron says, "Please feel free to post your RP discussions concerning the guild on the boards too, so those who miss out can get an update."
Altiron says, "Some of these NPCs have been wandering about off and on for over a year too."
Altiron says, "One of the goals they've had is to get player feedback on where you would like the guild halls built."
Altiron says, "So go ahead and join in and RP the search for the perfect location, or just post your preference on the boards if you wish."
Mahegh says, "Or email me."
Mahegh smiles.
Altiron says, "We haven't added many changes or new additions for Wizards since our last forum, although the modificatino to the base RT and the WAVE mechanics did have a big impact on the profession."
Altiron says, "I don't know that we need to rehash those subjects here, but if anyone has any questions, I'll try and address them without bogging down the forum on issues that have been beat to death on the boards."
Mahegh says, "Currently.."
Mahegh says, "to my understanding.."
Mahegh says, "Farris will be in IceMule this week."
Mahegh squints.

Altiron says, "Considering the major changes taking place with the combat system, adding any new combat spells wouldn't be wise."
Altiron says, "We wouldn't be able to properly configure them till after the Growing Pains changes are complete."
Altiron says, "Majoth says, 'On what spell and training path should a wizard enbark?'"
Altiron says, "That one is all yours Mahegh."
Mahegh grins.
Mahegh says, "Here's my suggestion on your training and spell path."
Mahegh says, "Whatever makes you comfortable as a wizard."
Mahegh says, "Remember.. you're interested in becoming a wizard.."
Mahegh says, "for hopefully more reasons then just to spell people up.."

Altiron says, "I don't push one path over another. As long as you get the basic wizard skills such as spell aiming in, I think most of you should do fine."
Altiron says, "I'm sure I didn't say the Rift creatures would be tweaked."
Mahegh grins.
Altiron says, "More likely we suggested this was a design for the Rift, and the current GM in charge of the area was looking to 'possibly' revise those."
Altiron says, "Considering the changes taking place with Growing Pains, I doubt it will happen before that is finished."
Altiron says, "I have no idea how those modifications will effect CS/TD in the Rift."
Altiron says, "So thats something we'll all have to wait and see."
Altiron asks, "Anything to add Mahegh?"
Mahegh says, "No.. You said it best."

Altiron says, "Elowin says, 'Has their been any progress on the enchating fix yet? If so...can you give us an idea of what the new system will be like?'"

Altiron says, "I believe many of the spells we may look at for modification at some future date have been and will continue to be discussed on the message boards in more detail."

Altiron says, "I would think a pure spell caster might find enchanting a little easier...of course anyone who doesn't train in spells wont be able to cast it anyway."
Altiron says, "Inkey says, 'when all the guilds are open will we be able to join wichever we want, or do we have to join the wizard's guild or none at all'"
Altiron says, "I have no idea. Orginally you were suppose to be able to do that, but no one has officially stated if that is still true or not."
Altiron says, "I'm not certain it is, since the Warrior and Rogue guilds offer advantages with some skills the other professions don't."
Altiron says, "Once again, you will need to ask the SGMs for a clarification on that."
Altiron says, "Of course, initially for all guilds only the given profession will be allowed in. I have no idea if they will open up to all professions later as originally planned."

Altiron says, "And no we wont go and require steep skill levels on any old spells."
Altiron says, "However, we would like to develop some new skills/abilities/spells eventually and having some ability in that area would be useful."

Altiron says, "if you train up to 140 or so and stop, you'll be ok probably, but I would only be certain that whatever the future holds that would at worse give you the rudimentary skill needed for more advanced skills/abilities/spells."
Altiron says, "Some people will want to push on, others wont care and they will stop."
Altiron says, "We don't want to leave anyone out in the cold, but those who invest heavily in training skills such as these deserve some sort of compensation too."

Altiron says, "Think you answered your own question. The current system doesn't require it, so the new system wont require it. We aren't about to make it so those who have no training in that skill suddenly can't enchant."

Altiron says, "I think if anything, people would say holding a weapon and shield should cause problems with casting, but in our current system that wouldn't be very practical."

Mahegh says, "Other then Zanagan is having a problem with the box."
Altiron says, "Marinzol says, 'Will enchant still be in slot 925? Or will it be moved? I've heard a rumor it might go to slot 950. Is this true?'"
Mahegh grins.
Altiron says, "I don't see it changing from 925, but who knows."
Altiron says, "We don't have any plans to at the moment anyway."
Altiron says, "Sabbat says, 'is the near future, is spell 450 going to be implemented, and if so, any hints onto what powers this spell may harness?'"
Mahegh says, "Well.. we know that it will cost 50 mana."
Mahegh nods.
Altiron says, "heh, I'd like to see 450 someday. I suppose I could tell you yes, since I like to think it will happen. Thats about all I could say on it though."
Altiron says, "No one would know more than that."
Altiron says, "ok, it will cost 50 mana...maybe."
Altiron snickers.

Altiron says, "Joloven says, 'I'm a fairly well aged wizard and i'm lookin at my near huntin future , doesn't look like i can get much older so preparin for the future looks difficult. besides picking boxes will we likely be able to learn from any of our future spells? '"
Altiron says, "Should learn a little from Enchant, but picking will probably always be the best form of experience for wizards."
Altiron says, "Now I can't say I like that any more than you do."
Altiron says, "That isn't my call, you'll have to speak with the SGMs on that one."
Mahegh says, "I'd like to add to that a moment."
Altiron says, "Imbedding use to be fairly good."
Mahegh says, "Altiron has been mentioning to everyone to speak with an SGM."
Altiron says, "I sort of liked it myself, but the endless supply of sticks for rangers to imbue sort of made that a problem."
Mahegh says, "We all know that they are very hard to get ahold of."
Mahegh says, "What I might suggest is sending me an email, that I'll make sure gets routed to them."
Altiron says, "Only way to make your opinions known to the SGMs is to post your opinions in the Discussion with Simutronics topic and through Feedback."

Mahegh says, "In most cases, we're able to hunt on our spells only."

Mahegh says, "We have both an elemental bolt attack.."

Altiron says, "I think he means they aren't getting better and anything new makes things worse...not as good...less powerf...something not as good anyway."

Altiron says, "I don't think the profession has really been downgraded all that much despite how much recent changes have impacted the profession."
Altiron says, "I think more people are just disappointed they aren't getting more yet."

Altiron says, "Couldn't hurt, but as I said before it wont be required."

Altiron says, "Zanagan says, 'new How major of an effect does wizard spell ranks have on weaponfire? Is it really going to be worthwile for me to alter my spell training becuase of these new growing pain changes?'"
Altiron says, "Feel free to take a stab at that one."

Mahegh says, "Zanagan, you do notice how the spell reacts to the knowledge you have.. so the only thing that I can even remotely suggest is that you should look closely at what Warden wrote."
Mahegh says, "I would make sure I'm more diversified in my spell training.."
Mahegh says, "then concentrating on one list or another."

Mahegh smiles at Zanagan.
Altiron says, "Considering we typically don't answer such questions, I'd say that works."
Mahegh gasps.
